I installed this mudguard on older Nishiki International 700c touring bike. Bike is from late 80's. Mudguard was tight fit on top of post, between brake cable and finally under rear rack which nicely holds it in place. Without rear rack it points quite a lot upwards, but it works that way as well. I've tried both. This mudguard keeps my back clean and dry. Installation was quite easy. I've included a picture of my installation method. My bike is bit dirty because I do drive cyclocross/dirt road by myself sometimes and I haven't cleaned it up in a week or so. Installed rear rack back just a few days ago.

This mudguard really fits well and stays in place on bumpy roads. Adjusted to 1cm from the tyre it keeps rear light, saddle bag and rider's back clear of spray. It even looks decent on a road bike. Obviously not a full mudguard, so brake caliper and front chainset get no protection from roadspray, but it still makes a huge difference in practice. lightweight and well made. The 'reflector' is angled toward the left hand side (better suiting countries that drive on the right) but that's not a deal breaker.

I fitted this to my road bike in seconds, went out for two hours on wet roads and came back with a dry bottom. It's light, easy to fit, reasonably sturdy, cheap and effective so it's worth 5 stars!
