Last piece of sony gear i ever buy
Had to go back to my old broken player to play some perfectly good region 4 dvds, this player wont play them, then last night again with a bluray, just sits there making high pitched noises till crashes and has to be restarted, total junk player

Excellence for value
Excellent unit, I have read the comment's and can say with previous experience with other cheap/cheaper available brands the BDPS1500 is stand alone for quality, this is my second BDPS1500, the first purchase was new from Sony Australia in 2016 and flogged watching Blu Ray and DVDs along with CD and still going strong, this purchase is backup only to be stored away is perfect for the price.

Great little blue-ray player
Great video quality, network features are nice to have. Its small and tucks away quite nicely. Speed of operation is quite decent, no real delays anywhere. If i were to pick a negative, the sony playstation store could possibly have more video apps.. but i am being picky here, the main ones are in. Very happy with this player.

No Wifi
My own fault for not checking but I assumed that this would be wifi ready and it's not. You can connect it via a LAN cable but that's not possible for me and I would guess many people, so if you were relying on getting Internet access via this unit you can only do it with a direct cable. Other than that this is an entry level unit that works OK.
