Does what I wanted.
Bought to reduce odour and keep air fresher in the house due to a heavy smoker. Placed this in the upstairs hall to test before moving downstairs which never happened. Was surprised at how good it is. My asthmatic Mum said after two nights that she is sleeping better now. There was a minor buzz at first because even the slightest noise keeps me awake and it's placed outside my door. This is now unnoticeable. We can close windows for the first time in winter. There is noticeable difference when returning to an odour free home. Placed for an hour in small room after a takeaway and removed spicy odours completely. Limited, but still useful
After buying this I found out that ionisers not only do not remove particulate matter, but they give off Ozone as well. That's my own fault for not checking properly, but surprisingly, despite all that, this is actually quite a decent product. It needs to be used sparingly, and preferably when there is no one in the room, but there's no doubt whatsoever that the negative ions do their job and freshen up a room in reasonably quick time. If you're looking for a filter, this is not the product for you. If you just want something non-gaseous and non-perfumed to freshen up a room, this will do the job very well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good little machine
Purchased to help with allergy to unknown cause which bithers me during winter months more than any other time of year. Since I started using this I have been so much better, no sneezing fits, hardly had any nights of waking up with itchy nose, face and mouth. I use it probably around 8 - 10 hours daily. Does the job it says it will, and does it well
I love this puripod. I am a smoker, and if i’ve been smoking in the lounge of an evening I simply turn my puripod on overnight and the room is clear by the morning. Have to say I haven’t noticed any major increase in my energy (electricity) consumption either. I also have one in my kitchen and notice a big difference there too. As a smoker, I've needed one of these for years
With 3 of these spread out throught the flat, it clears a smokey room into fresh air that smells like the outdoors really fast. The noise it makes is only a bother at the end of the day when the TV/radio has been turned off. They are worth having, less cumbersome than regular Ionisers.
I have had one before, that is why I bought another.It is not totally quiet but that dosn't matter because I use it in my bedroom at night.I have breathing problems & I am quite deaf so when I take out my hearing aids at night I can't hear it. As I said I have had one before so I was happy to have another. The green lights on it are too bright for nighttime use so I cover them with electricians tape, leaving the central hole free. A surprisingly good air purifier
Given the small size of the unit it is surprisingly good at improving air quality. As you would expect from an air purifier, there is some fan noise but I do not find it too distracting. It does seem to make the air feel fresher. The only part I don't like is the green strip of light that is far too bright at night. I put some black electricians PVC tape over the green light strip (not the central air outlet) and that has resolved the problem. Packaging is a disaster!
When the package came it was literally torn and was put together with tapes everywhere as if this product was used before. It is soo not quiet as it has a sound to it. No instructions on it as well.

Puripod ionizer
