my cats love it, however this is my second post this year, it only took them 5 mo's to destroy the 1st one. I called pioneer and while they say their warrantee is 1 year on workmanship they would do nothing for me, even though the ad I bought it from said it would look good and wear well for years. I belief if I had one or two cats that might be true but I have 17 cats that use it so at 50 to 60 bucks a pop it is not a real good value. this post does do every thing they say it will do except wear wellVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very nice scratch pole but base wood is not as shown on most pictures
The scratch pole is good quality but the base and top are not the finish as shown in the pictures. We received unfinished particle board in lieu of the nice stained wood as shown in the picture. I recommend this scratch post to others; however, be sure to confirm the wood type as we were not presented with that option unfortunately. After spraying the pole with a good safe non-addictive catnip, the cat uses it a lot, so mission accomplished.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have purchased 4 of these from several stores. They last long, look good, and are stable. The sisal is made in such a way that there is very little splinter - those "hairs" that fall off. The Best Scratching Post on the Market!
My two cats LOVE this scratching post! It is tall and sturdy, so they can stretch up and almost hang off of it! We just replaced our old one with a new one! Unimpressed sisters
