This is the second Kong Gyro that I have bought so that both my dogs can have one each. The original one was bought over 6 months ago and still going strong. They bring hours of fun especially on wet days when the dogs cannot get out to exercise the same.

I have a staff cross puppy who is bright. She chews everything so I looked for something to keep her occupied that was robust. The roller ball is great to administer treats and keep her brain active. I was disappointed that the red ring was made of hard plastic not rubber as I expected. She cannot be left with it unsupervised for even a second as her teeth have already marked the plastic and gauged chunks out in a very short space of time. If I left her alone with it, she would quickly destroy it . For a ten minute brain game though it does. If it was more robust I would have given it 5 *.

So long as your furbaby is small its an amazing toy. If however you own anything bigger than a spaniel....this is probably not for you! It took my 18 month supervised Mastiff less than 6 minutes to decimate it. He first broke one of the plastic pivots that allows the central ball to spin, I removed the ball and let him play "footsie" with the outer ring....he bit through this picking it up to bring to me. It's hard plastic and once cracked / split becomes very sharp, needless to say it went in the bin along with the ball section. I did try to reuse the inner ball just as a treat feeder but as he could fit the whole thing in his mouth I decided the safest thing would be to dispose of all of it. Don't misunderstand me, well made, good idea....just NOT for big heavy hitter dogs!!

Bought for my 18 mth old collie, as desc did state for pups n older dogs. Once treats were out he decided to take toy into his bed n chew the outside ring. Took the toy away but same thing happened when we gave it to him next time. He eventually managed to chew bits off the plastic ring so toy is now in bin. Not the quality i expected from kong toy. This toy is more suited to pups with baby teeth not adult teeth. The same thing happened to a friend with a spaniel. Had I known that at time I wud never have bought it. Don't buy for adult dog.

Have a beautiful Labrador, but although she loved it, it didn’t stand up to her chewing around the edge, but still worth her enjoyment.

I expected A Kong toy to be safe and longer lasting. My Dobermann pup made a hole in the hard red plastic outer ring in half an hour. The small bits of broken plastic are sharp and dangerous to dogs’s digestions.

Great idea but my dog destroyed the outer ring within an hour ! He’s chewed big holes in it. The outer ring needs to be stronger plastic.

Good puzzle feeder, easy to fill with treats (centre ball unscrews nicely) but the outer ring is of less durable plastic, my collie punched holes in it easily.

Medium sized dog had it in pieces in no time. Had to be binned on day 2 to protect dog intestines ! DO NOT BUY !
