Good value useful device
Works well and particularly with older devices as that's where they come into their own. Easy to set up for a mac and works with older Mac OS versions. Large capacity reduces the need for a lot of separate storage devices. Does require a mains supply but still small enough to be portable in a bag or small case. all your stuff backup in one place piecemeal
got it setup for backing up the 8 TB custom media centre i built some years ago as soon a i drop a file to the MC the seagate hub copies the file to its internal storage giving me peace of mind. totally silent, switches off when the MC is shutdown - setup and forget about it however it was a little bit of a pain to setup and no software can with the product i needed to use third party software to properly format it and it popped up networks since then its just worked advice, don't use the Seagate dashboard software instead use the Toolkit from Seagates site, setup constant backup and forget about it! i was going to buy another NAS but settle in this as it was cheaper you can also access the drive from networks screen on any PC connected to my network apart from the setup process, which may have been my fault i really don't know at this point, i cant fault this brilliant piece of kit!

This product does exactly as described, it's got an easy to use dashboard where you can sort your music, videos etc into their folders and see how much space you have used and by what, if you have any other Seagate products it can detect them too.
