My review is based entirely on the company not the product. Their communication has been slow and uninformed. The model has entire racks of parts that have no instructions as to where they go. There is documentation to contact another company for additional parts. That company has not responded at all in 2 months. 2nd One I've Bought, 1x Issue So Far
This is the second kit I've bought of this model over the years and I love it. However, the last on the one purchased in FEB '17, it came missing a Bofors twin 40mm AAA gun. As a modeler, I know this happens occasionally, but its very unfortunate that it is a fairly important piece of the model's armament and the model is in a scale where obtaining a replacement will be difficult to find and/or expensive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great old school kit and model from years past.
Had one of these circa1976. Bought it after I got out of the Navy myself. Loved it then and was very happy to see Lindbergh had reissued the kit again. I'm not interested in r/c but the model is certainly big enough if you. The model itself is well made and goes together in a strait forward manner. Makes a great display at three feet! I bought a second kit to convert to a Sumner class DD for later as the Fletcher and Sumner used the same hull!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

blast from the past fun build
although not completely acurate it is big and impressive,a fun build. there is enough detail to make it look good (unless the rivet counters show up) be aware the kit contains extra parts that are not needed unless you intend to make it a R.C. the only bad thing about this kit is the instructions,they are awful hard to see and confusing, keep in mind that this is an old kit and don"t expect the same detail as the newer stuffVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
