Not quite the best.
Tried to get a relatively close shave hoping that the Hydro 3 blades could substitute for my few remaining Schick Hydro 5's. Unfortunately, no comparison. To me, it was worth a try. Sadly, will continue to primarily use the Gillette Fusion 5 which gives me an excellent clean shave. Sorry. With thanks, Frank Taub

Great blades
These blades out perform the Hydro 5's. It was explained to me from a professional barber that the Hydro 5's blades are too close together that you don't get the shave you'd expect from 5 blades. I only got 5 to 6 shaves from a Hydro 5 and I'm getting more than twice that from the Hydro 3. I'm on day 14 today May 19,2018 since I put on a new Hydro 3, that's getting your moneys worth. If your using Hydro 5's, i would recommend you try the Hydro 3's. you will get a better shave and more shaves per blade.

These blades are the best even better thsn equivalent Gillette blades. Hydro 3 blades are hard to find at local drug stores. Hydro 5 blades are easily available but not hydro 3. I will recommend this item and will be buying more.

Nice clean close shave
You won't be disappointed with these razor blades. I love them. They are the exact same thing you would buy in the stores. The only difference is your not having to take out a 2nd mortgage to purchase them. These blades are more than reasonably priced. I not only shave my face, but I also shave my head. These blades are well sharpened and cut nicely as I can get up to 3 total shaves with one blade (face and head). These are the only razor blades I purchase anymore.

My Dad's choice
As I was taking care of my Dad in his last years (he's been gone several years now) one of the things I'd order for him were his razor blades..he used Schick Hydro 3 bladed ones, and once he passed I took over his leftovers, and used them myself. I was more of a dry shaver before but found the razor did a good job on my beard. So, I kept using it. These shave well, seem to last awhile, which is what I think most people look for in a razor.

Works well at less cost per shave.
While I usually use the Schick 5 blade razors, I thought to try the 3 blade sort. I find that they give a smooth, painless shave as long as you prep for it, ie., let your shave cream work for awhile before shaving. Bye the bye, aloe vera gel works very well as a shave cream.
