As I don't have dairy I used coconut milk instead and my first attempt I used 2 tins of coconut milk. I'm not sure if my freezer needed to be higher to freeze the inner container as summer atm or icecream maker couldn't deal with amount but after an hour of churning the machines safety feature came into play. A runny cold cream was left but not icecream. So I turned up my freezer and my 2nd attempt i only used 1 tin of coconut milk and withings 15 ot so minutes we had gorgeous maple and pecan icecream. Not sure if after 1st tin mix has turned into icecream that I could add 2nd mix so we have bigger portions of it. I will try next time. Coconut milk, maple and pecan recipe: 1 tin of full fat coconut milk (put in fridge overnight), 1/4 maple syrup, 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Enjoy Read full review

The ice cream maker is so noisy during operation it is impossible to be in the same room and converse whilst it's running. Unless the bowl has had 24 hours in the freezer first even an hour will not be enough to produce ice cream, let's face it, in summer who makes plans 24 hour in advance for sunshine and an ice cream? Finally, the motor burnt out only the second time of use.i cannot recommend this product to anyone

It’s a useful machine. We’ve made some lovely sorbet and yogurt icecream. Would recommend it.

So far I've made blackberry, then damson and apple ice cream by simply gently cooking the fruit with a little sugar, straining it, then cooling it. Add double cream then mix and add to the ice cream maker. The best ice cream ever!
