Great fun and educational too
Bought this for my 8 year-old who is studying the Romans. He managed to follow the very friendly instructions with a bit of support from Mum - he particularly liked the instruction to get a snack while the glue dried! There were some tricky bits he needed help with but given that the kit is rated 14+ for independent building, I expected there would be bits he needed help with. Once built, the whole family had great fun testing the range and accuracy in the garden. It fired really well and was sturdy enough for both my 8 year old to fire independently and my 5 year old to fire with a bit of support. Both boys really engaged with Romans as a result and we have gone on to build other models and explore Roman culture as a result. Definitely educational as well as meeting the small boys’ need to fire projectiles!
