    Satisfactory so far.

Seems to be a decent product. Design, materials, construction all seem OK. Works well, much as expected, although 4 stars apparently means "better than expected". This is a simple, basic item, accurately described: large plastic water barrel plus stand. The instructions for fitting the rain water catcher to the existing down pipe from the roof were slightly misprinted (misaligned with the diagram), and a bit confusing until I realised what had happened. I intended to buy from Argos - it's in their catalogue - but not in stock anywhere, no 'click & collect' available, no home delivery, no way to place an order. So I bought on eBay instead (a bit cheaper) with free 'click & collect' at Argos. So Argos did the work but didn't get the profit. Potty. Another store with a death-wish?

    Water butt with poor stand

The water butt itself is of reasonable quality, however the stand supplied with this water butt is in my view not fit for purpose. The stand comes in three sections and clips together at the base. The slightest movement of the base, or water butt causes the bottom clips to part On the top of these three sections of the stand are holes positioned to receive straps which would hold the tops of the stand together and prevent movement and spread under load. These straps are not supplied with the stand and I was told that they are not supplied with Ward water butts. The slightest movement

  • A high quality water-butt

Excellent quality. It also came with a stand and the tap and it's fittings, so apart from buying a water depth gauge which we wanted to add, this water butt was the perfect solution to our garden watering needs. It is very stable, even when empty, but when it's full, it is steady as a rock. We can thoroughly recommend this water butt to anyone. We would definitley recommend getting this 250ltr model, because the smaller ones will fill up so quickly in a medium shower of rain. This one does not take up much room at all. It is relatively slim.

  • pleasing purchase.

The container is well made but the stand is a nightmare to keep together long enough to place the container on to it. Duct tape came to my rescue, My other concern was that as the container has a smaller surface area on such a small stand whether the stand would take the weight of a full container. After heavy rain the container is now full and the stand is standing ( forgive the pun) up to the weight....so far. An added feature is the click on spout on the water tap to attach a hose pipe.

  • easy to assemble

arrived very quickly, well within the designated time scale. Small amount of assembly required, but easy even for me, and I am a 55 plus woman. Even the attachment to the downpipes was simple and I even sprayed it white tom match the downpipes. It looks lovely and works extremely well.

  • large water butt

This water butt is excellent quality and was easy to set up. The huge size is ideal for storing and not losing the rainfall needed to keep the garden 'green'. It fits nicely in the space and is unobtrusive. Thank you

  • Great water butt. It is *****

This is a smart slim water butt. It has a built in thread to screw the tap into, so no more heads inside to hold the nut while someone else tightens the tap. There are recessed areas to cut and connect the pipes from the down pipe as well. Basically, the best I have bought (and I have 12)!

  • Large and simple to set up

Only problem: without any water in it yet it is very light. I’m going to tie it back to the wall somehow until the water gives it some weight. The problem could recur if we ever empty it. But we are delighted with its size.

  • Great value

This has got to be one of the best water butts on the market.Although it is not the cheapest it pays to shop around as the price can vary tremendously. The feature I like best is the way the tap is fixed by that I mean you screw It directly into a threaded hole so there is no messing trying to reach inside to put the nut on.

  • Slim but large

This water butt was perfect for a narrow space but unlike large diameter water butts of 210L has the advantage of a 250L capacity and is slightly taller than the conventional type. Ideal if you’re restricted with space as I was.
