GPS Upgrade

Not certain you can actually update maps.
The product works when you plug it in. Whether you can update it's maps later using Mazda's Toolbox is an unknown. FYI Mazda's GPS ap requires that you update the maps or service will cease at some point in time. I used another similar cheap Mazda nav card on my car and when I tried to update it's maps, the SD Card failed. Given the product's price is so low, perhaps that's not that such a big deal. Plan to refresh this review when I'm forced to update the maps. Then will see if this product really delivers.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mazda Navigation SD card Works Great....
This GPS SD card is the complete package, USA, Mexico and Canada. Best of all it's a Mazda Genuine Part. This item went to work immediately after a simple installation. I know where to go for low cost updates. The dealership wanted almost $300 for this card.

Works as expected
Works exactly as expected. Just plug in and turn on the car, no setup needed whatever. The Nav is actually better then I've seen in most cars. A fair amount of useful information is on the screen. The voice is handled fairly well however I don't use the voice instructions, just a preference thing. The visual turn by turn with current turn hints are easy to follow. While the suggested route considers traffic there is no visual indication of traffic on the screen, at least not that I have found as of yet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This 2020 Mazda map card is an exact replacement for the 2016 card my Mazda came with. Just to verify it's accuracy I took my car to a road that i know was changed about 2 years ago. The 2016 map used to take me through an area that no longer existed. The new SD card included an updated map that shows the current roadway configuration. Works Like A Charm! *UPDATED!*
UPDATE: Got this chip and thought it was great for about 1 day. That ended when my car WOULD NOT START until I removed the chip!! I would NOT recommend anyone puts this chip into their car. If it will prevent your car from starting then who knows what other harm it will do!!! And if it ruins your car or anything in it, it also voids your warranty and then you’re definitely screwed. My advice: Save your $40, your car & your warranty and just use your phone for a GPS until you can afford to buy the authentic chip from the dealer. DO NOT PUT THIS CHIP INTO YOUR CAR! Original review: Just got one of these SD Nav Chips for my 2019 CX3 & it works like a charm! Just popped it in, started up my car & POOF! the Navigation System popped up & loaded without a problem. Glad I only paid $39.99 here & not $400 at the dealership. Still not sure if I’ll be able to update it in the future, but for less than $40 I could always just buy a new updated one every year & it’s still be cheaper than getting one from the dealer.
