    Tiny recorder great for ambience and sample recording.

    It fits easily in the inner pocket of a jacket, it turns on in a second and it's perfect to record on the spot any sound that grabs your attention. It behaves really well with ambience sounds and spot recording. Furthermore, it has a good representation of the lower frequencies in speech recording. However, I haven't tested with vocals singing. In conclusion, the only negative side of this product is the risk of slipping from your hands for being so tiny.

    Small but powerful

    Pros: Small, beautiful. Built-in mics are very good, not as good as the Sony PCM D100 (which is 3x the price). Built-in mics can be flipped wide which works well for soundscapes. Mics are sensitive up to 48kHz (good for sound design). Preamp for external mics is excellent. Built-in battery lasts a long time. Screen is large and clear. Cons: A bit plasticky. No record-pause mode for checking input level before recording! Supplied case only partially covers the device. It doesn't zip shut. Headphone and external mic sockets on different sides of the device. A little overpriced.

    Superb Dictaphone

    Amazing piece of tech. Small compact. I was looking at the Zoom H4n but this one seemed better. The push-out usb is amazing and micro SD card slot is super useful.

    Amazing little recorder

    Amazing recorder. Very small, great battery life and the preamps are excellent with external microphones (e.g. Clippy EM172). You can record at very low gain levels and boost in post later without adding recorder self-noise.
