Comfortable and easy to use
We bought this to replace our old metal loft ladder which took up a lot of space as it folded into the loft area. The Optistep folds on top of the hatch itself so more storage space available. Lovely set of steps
Perfect alternative to the slide out aluminium ladder, its nice to use a ladder that has proper steps, doesn't creak, crack or sway in use, our only problem is that our ceilings are high and my wife is a bit on the small side and cannot reach to unfold the ladder safely while controlling the weight of the lower two sections, as a result with it being in regular use by her, I am having to heavily modify the lower sections to a counterbalance system to make it safe for her, this will void the warranty but its better than an accidentVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Loft transformed
Very pleased with the loft ladder. It is exactly how it was described and now it has been installed it makes it much easier for me to get into my loft safely. The wide steps are firm with a grooved surface for good grip. The handle makes it safer to climb up and steady yourself. The large opening allows larger items to be stored. Easy fix !
This ladder set is very well made and easy to fit/ operate. I would prefer the hatch surface to be level with the framing instead of 10mm proud . A two person install unless you are very strong! Provides easy access as there is no over run of the ladder into the loft space make sure opening is trimmed square. Very srong.
The price was amazing. The product is very well made. The ladder is strong when it is down so I can use it with confidence. My son in law who fitted it said there was not much room to attach the hatch to the surrounding loft joists but being a good chippy he managed. It is high up above the stairwell and I find pushing up the hatch cover a bit difficult but will figure something out. Loft stairs
Well made, the fitting instructions are not the greatest. This is the second one I've fitted so it was easy for me. I would recommend removing the steps from the hatch as it is quite a lump especially if your installing it on your own.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
