Great new Features! Good Value for Money!
Most impressed with the new and latest system update as this has made viewing my media collection on my home server an absolute breeze, something that in the past, has been a huge hit and miss process often never working at all or some file formats just not even showing up! Playing games on this system is great too and was pleasantly surprised to see the good value prices for some of the games as most newish releases are pretty expensive on the Sony Playstation! The only thing I was disappointed in from a system performance perspective was it's actually slower to boot up than my old PS3 but I can live with it. The worst niggly thing is that many reviews claim the PS4 is nice and quite compared to its predecessors? This is simply not true and it is still just as noisy especially when the drive spins up with the disc. Wouldn't have minded so much if it was just now and again but it is almost constant throughout gameplay and only now and again stops spinning, making such a noise that I have to turn the volume up on my sound system quite a lot. I'm also highly disappointed that my "Sony" Bluetooth headset does not even show up under bluetooth devices when it connected no problem to the PS3?!! I don't see why I should have to upgrade my peripherals just because I upgraded my console? The PS4 should have at least some degree of backward compatibility? The Headset is only a year old, granted it's not a console headset but it is bluetooth 4.1 so it should be seen and compatible with the PS4? This is the only reason I have given 4 stars otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Aesthetically the machine looks beautiful and fits way better next to my tv , sadly the compact form has led to loss of the digital socket and still the usb on the front? why? would have been much neater with the usb on the back like on the pro versions. Surely this could have been an inexpensive option to include in the non pro versions of the PS4? Overall fairly pleased with my purchase and the seller has done well to look after this console and was in very good nick and well packaged. Looks cosmetically better than the discription
