Dish Network Wally
Nice little receiver for my RV, smaller than my old VIP211 and a better picture. Menu seems to run a little faster as well. I did have a small challenge with it recognizing my playmaker antenna. Dish tried to have me call wineguard for tech support for the antenna but I figured out to go into the receiver settings for the search mode and bam, everything worked fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

compact, pretty picture, but a lot less speed and control andso far, no tech help.
It does have a great picture. it is small- compact and does a good job with the remote working in RF, not line of sight. I haven't been able to get anyone to answer any of my questions yet as to why it takes 20 minutes to give me any picture after any power off event. I'm using this with a playmaker auto sattelite dish that is noisey when it is "looking" for sattelites, (roof mounted in my RV) It seems to have to move the dish when the wally goes to "sleep or standby" generally in the middle of the night. I dont seem to be able to make it not randomly re search for sattelirtes when every one is asleep. my old reciever only took about 7 to 10 minutes to lock and work. This was supposed to be the "new and fasted one so far" Well, Not for me so far. Not sure if it has been worth it so far , would like to get some tech. help!..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

it is still easy way to watch TV
Very easy to set up but you do not get all the channels that are on your home Hopper so that's not the products fault. I wanted to watch NHL which I paid extra and couldn't get it and feel that is wrong for Dish to block paid channelsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice extra receiver
This is my first experience with Dish Network and I am pleasantly surprised how easy it is to add a portable Antenna/Receiver to my account. I had DIrecTV and they were a nightmare when it came to a portable setup. As for the Wally I am very happy with it so far (I have only used it for a couple of days) It was very easy to setup and the quality is very good. Wally for Dish
I now own 2 of these and love the new interface with built in Netflix it’s simple to setup and easy to use. With the one time $40 DVR fee both of my Wally’s have DVR feature with attached hd which is all I need for my home and RV.
