  • Another superb Worx piece of kit!

Excellent chainsaw from the Worx stable. Been using their kit for 8 years now. Started with a cordless drill then a strimmer, mower, hedge cutter, angle grinder & now a chainsaw which lives up to the other items in quality & performance. Having owned a corded electric & petrol chainsaw this item is far easier to operate from a practibility point of view & it’s had some serious cutting to do since I bought it. Lasts a good 30 minutes continuous cutting & as I now have six batteries that me good for 90 minutes. Brilliant system

  • Not overly powerful but good enough

I have many Worx products and am always happy with them, however slightly disappointed with this chainsaw as it has not much power for larger roots. The company I bought this from I cannot fault, they managed to immediately sort out a wrong delivery without any hassles..will definitely be buying my next Worx product from them.

  • Great tool

This cordless chainsaw was bought to complement my other corded and petrol chainsaws. I deliberately chose the 250mm compact model as I find that I'm rarely cutting logs of a greater diameter, and I judged that it would not place to much demand on a single 20v battery. I have two batteries to use in tools in the Worx range, so I'm not concerned about running out of power. I've not had the chainsaw long enough to know how much cutting I can do on one battery charge. The saw is much lighter than my others and is quieter, with little vibration. It stops instantly when the trigger is released, which is a good safety feature. It is a joy to use and I would recommend it highly.

  • An excellent choice

I purchased this after my petrol chainsaw gave up. I also got 2 x 6.0ah batteries it lasts a good time and cuts amazingly well, every bit as good as my old muculloch petrol and you dont have to worry about starting. If your logging for a day you will need extra batteries or a means of charging them. I take three sets of batteries and it works well for me.

  • Lightweight and compact

Lightweight and compact. Actually works better than I thought it might. Used for firewood scavanging on dead trees in the wwoods, it does the job. Cuts up to bar length Birch/Pine etc without too much trouble and is pretty quiet. Battery lasts more than long enough for me to collect a carboot full. My only criticism would be the chainspeed, a bit slow. Anything less than full speed, or use a tentative application, will lead to grabbing and jumping. Wind it up and jab it in and it is fine. I have batteries with my drill, so the common use is a cost saver and dealmaker.

  • Convenient by not having to tote petrol cans or find an electric outlet.Cuts wood like butter.Highly recommended

Already have a petrol and electric chain saws which are not always convenient. This saw is small enough to carry around, quiet enough not to annoy the neighbours and cuts through wood like butter. Best I`ve used to date. Excellent addition to my Worx cordless tools. Highly recommended

  • Nice little saw

Bought this to basically replace my hand pruning saw . Nice and light weight and cuts well . It can jump about and be jerky while cutting as the blade is slower than a petrol one which takes a bit of getting used to. Once it’s in the grove though it’s smoother . Battery life not too bad . Cut through a telegraph pole ok :-)

  • Great little chainsaw

Surprisingly powerful considering it only uses 1 battery (not supplied with it - I have Worx batteries from other equipment). It is short at only 25cm but cuts through branches and small tree trunks with surprising ease, ok don't expect to cut anything bigger than about 4 inches in diameter but it works well on anything up to about this size. It didn't come with any chain oil so you need to buy some before using it.

  • Good little chainsaw.

Arrived quickly , well packed and as described. Have used twice and works well. Easy to assemble. I already had 20v batteries with my Worx strimmer and these work well with the chainsaw.

  • Light, willing, battery chainsaw

This will be lightly used by me. It will be used for occasionally cutting thicker items such as branches, or trees up to 18" diameter. Already it has saved me much time. My usual tools for cutting such wood are battery powered sabre saws and circular saws (which see heavy and regular use). This device manages to munch its way through thicker wood with relative ease. This happy munching is why I like it so much. It pulls itself through the wood, I don't need to apply pressure to get it to cut. I would *not* recommend this for regular or professional wood cutting, as there are more powerful devices (with larger blades) available. For my use, light, occasional, wonderful. It may well be fine and happy for much heavier use than I will ever task it with, but were I to be doing this, I'd have bought a device with more power and a longer reach. I'm glad that I bought it. :-) It is currently sitting in an aluminium foil sump, as the chain saw oil does weep when sitting flat. I will hang it from a nail to prevent such weeping when I reconfigure the toolshed. It comes *almost* ready to go, but do be aware that it will need some chainsaw oil, - my local tractor shop sells such oil in 1 litre or 5 litre bottles) (and grease and a grease gun if used regularly - to inject inside the nose of the guidebar) as well as a means of sharpening the blade as it becomes dull over time, especially if it finds nails or other ironwork, or it enters soil when running. The oil is essential, the grease and sharpener will not be needed until several hours work have been done.
