In the past I have purchased Dyson cleaners - over the years 5 in all including two of the ball type, but this Shark far out ranks them. It has great suction which can be adjusted to suit different types of flooring and upholstery etc. It is easy and not too heavy to use. The front light highlights the crumbs etc so that you can see what needs to be picked-up. The attachments are easy to put on and remove, and the suction remains the same. Being able to remove the main cylinder and move it around separately makes it easier to clean stairs and upholstery, rather than dragging around the whole machine. This machine has certainly reduced the stress levels I previously felt using my old machine.

Such a waste of money for me. I'm disabled and elderly but value my independence and like to do as much as I can for myself but now need lighter easier tools for cleaning. My Kirby Vacuum cleaner is quite a lump to carry about but to my great surprise it turns out easier to use than the Shark. This is so disappointing because the only reason I purchased the Shark was purely because it looked so much lighter and easy to use. I struggle with this Shark vac on my carpet and it's not that much easier on my hard floors it's just too heavy and the swivel head is not as flexible as it's made out to be.

Was a little sceptical of buying a refurbed item but it feels and works as if brand new. The vacuum itself is so handy. It has a great suction using main vacuum or attachments. There's lots of options for using underneath furniture or high up to ceiling as everything is detachable and interchangeable, including the main body that comes away to make stairs cleaning a doddle. It's also light and easy to meonouver, even the headlights at the front are helpful. Would recommend!

Only 4 stars due to the weight. I have to say this vac is a good one. The suction is superb whilst still being variable. Indeed, ease the amount of suction and this makes the vac easier to move. The two settings for carpet or hard floor is a good feature. The ability to remove the body of the machine and use it together with the hose for up and down the stairs means that the weight is less for this awkward bit of cleaning. I have a Rough Collie who leaves hair lying around every time she breathes and despite using this vac almost every day I have not yet had the need to cut away wrapped hair from the brushes. This compares very well with the Foraspira slim it replaced. (The sweeper head broke as I had to keep taking it to pieces to cut away all the dog hair stopping it from working. As an aside the aftersales service from this lot has been dreadful hence my having to buy a new vacuum.) I bought a refurbished model and saved about £50. The vac I received is brand new and in it's original packaging. Super value for money. Well done Shark.Read full review

I've been doing research on a new hoover for a few weeks and this is the model that came out strongest for my family needs. We have 2 dogs and a cat, plus both myself and daughter have long hair, this hoover picks it all up and I swear my carpet looks like new(ish) again all the pile has been lifted up and looks so much fresher and thicker. The part that collects the dust, it comes off and allows you to hoover the stairs without taking the whole hoover, massive plus is the long cable, I can do my stairs in one go. The reason I chose a cord hoover over battery is the suction is constant and more powerful. I can reccommend this hoover 100% .
