Released following the MMORPG's major overhaul in the fall of 2005, this bundle provides players with updated retail versions of the main game, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, and its first expansion pack, Jump to Lightspeed. Changes to the game were designed to make play more accessible for all sorts of online gamers, and this package is designed to make it easy for newcomers to jump straight into their Star Wars roles.<br><br>As in other online RPGs, Galaxies players begin by creating an online personality, choosing the character's race, appearance, and profession. The "massively multiplayer" game world is designed to allow players to follow in the footsteps of their favorite characters from the Star Wars films or discover all new possibilities playing as lesser-known races and classes.<br><br>With the Jump to Lightspeed expansion, players can pilot personal, interstellar spacecraft that allow them access to new species, new worlds, and new challenges in the far, far away galaxy. Deep-space dog-fighting -- a staple of the beloved film series -- also becomes available with the Jump to Lightspeed. A Game Before it's Time, 20 years ago and still is in many ways
Imagine peoples love of Star Wars coupled with a current game engine. SWG was a game before its time. The open sandbox style has what other games lack. Freedom. No game on rails here, do what you want wherever you want and for how long you want. FB didn't invent the multiverse, SWG did. There are servers up today and setting it up is easy. Look up a SWG EMU and you will find the way. This is the game you are looking for....and did I mention no monthly fee? The cost of the disks, your electricity and time.
