    Run far away from these

    I've been dealing with emergency lighting and electrical in general for more than two decades, including the old LHQM Lithonia built in their US facility before sending production to Mexico and China. Several years ago, they discontinued the LHQM and replaced it with these LHQM LED's. These units are built by a contract manufacturer called Jiming in China. Jiming also produces those $20 emergency lights you find just about everywhere. It really shows that these LHQM LED's are produced from the same cloth because they are the worst units I've seen--even worse than the Jiming generics. I've tried three different LHQM LED units from three different sellers and none of them have worked. The third one I tried was at a local store at their front desk. I was joking with them about how I'd already had two of these DOA and this third one new off their shelf couldn't possibly be DOA, but nothing happened when we turned on the AC power. Furthermore, Lithonia's support is a complete sham. They took four days to respond to my request about my last defective LHQM LED, marked my issue solved even though they offered no solution, and gave me no way to contact them again should I have a follow up comment. I'd like to say Lithonia is as good as they used to be, but they've slipped quite far from the old days. I would run far, far away from these units. If you're looking for a combination exit sign/emergency unit that's in the same price range, buy a Dual-Lite EVC or HCX unit. You will not be disappointed.

    LED exit/emergency light

    The red EXIT sign is lit with LED's Nice and bright. Light heads are LED's too. I ripped out old incandescents with sealed lead batteries. This light is so much better and I won't have to replace burned out light bulbs. The time savings in just that kind of maintenance alone makes this unit worth while.
