  • Good specification pc built with cheap components.

I had this pc for a month before it stopped working. Hardware fault. Good: Price. Add up just how much it would cost to build it yourself to the same specification. Two M2 slots on the motherboard and 6-SATA ports. 6 USB-3 and 4 USB-2 ports. The unnamed brand GTX 1070 card gave brilliant graphics. Case is nice and solid with plenty of features albeit very large and heavy, ATX sized. 50 x 20.5 x 49 cm. approx 12 kg. (16 kg with packaging). Basic keyboard and mouse included. 16 GB RAM on-board. Windows 10 worked flawlessly after updating to latest version. Bad: HEC 450W psu is barely adequate for the job. ECS B250H4-EM mini-ATX motherboard is low quality and specific for this pc. No information about it is available on the ECS site. Stripped down basic AMI Bios. No disks. All drivers and (very basic) instructions are on the recovery partition, not helpful if pc is not working so external back-up is essential. Medion site has very little help available. DVI output did not work properly with either of my monitors, it delayed connection until fully booted. Switched to HDMI and it was fine. PC stopped booting up after a month. From the symptoms I suspect the motherboard has failed, possibly an internal fault or maybe the psu just killed it.. It's under warranty so will be going back. Would I buy another? At the same price, probably yes. Would I change the motherboard and psu after the warranty runs out? Definitely yes. UPDATE: 18/01/2018 Prices for this PC seem to have shot up by £160 to £260 in the past week which no longer makes them such good value for money.
