  • Useful and versatile little laptop for all the basics in life EXCEPT for online meeting, due to the atrocious camera

Great little laptop for basic office tasks, light gaming, internet use. Quick to start up, runs programs well and can handle many programs and apps at the same time with no discernible slow down for the average user. Sound is a bit poor, tinny but passable for the basics, and if you want to watch films etc, use headphones anyway. A budget laptop will never give you a good audio experience. Extremley light and portable with very good battery life. HOWEVER In this day and age, particularly with the rapid rise of online meetings, the 0.3mp in-built camera is a travesty that Lenovo should be thoroughly ashamed of. I wish I had spent an extra £50 and bought an HP or Dell machine for a decent camera. The image from this machine is appalling - grainy and with very poor colouring. If you want to use it in lower light, it's almost unusable. I had better web-cameras in the early 2000s. This was an absolute shocker for me and I wish I seen that this was the camera on this machine - I would not have bought it. There are other machines in the same price bracket with decent (i.e. acceptable) cameras, and unfortunately, I would recommend them over this laptop for the money. I expect a laptop to last around four years before it becomes too slow and clunky for modern use. With the camera in this unit, I'll be surprised if I'm still using it as my main computer in two years. Lenovo, you've really let yourselves, and your customers down.
