Excellent printing but print heads clog easily.

There is one major problem with this printer. The print heads are notorious for clogging up. Very few people know how to clean them effectively. I use it because it has the ability to print on discs. The quality of the printing is excellent. If you can put up with constant head cleaning I recommend it.

  • Most critical review

    Printer was short-lived

The printer appeared in good condition on arrival. When set up with my computer, it worked like new - likely the seller did not know how to "accept" non-original ink cartridges after replacement. Printer operated perfectly for about a week..then stopped completely and could not restart despite many actions. I do not believe this problem was known or a fault seller knew of.

  • Great Replacement for my old R200

The Epson R200 that I've had for 10 years quit on me completely. It was unrepairable at a price I could afford. I bought this used R220 because it uses the same ink cartridges. I didn't have to do any set up since the drivers for this printer were part of a recent Windows update. I put ink cartridges in and did a sample print. All worked fine. No hassles, nothing more than plugging it in, connecting it to my laptop and hitting print.

  • Much better than the R300!

I have used the R200 for years and then stepped up to the R220. I had the need for a color printer at my office so I purchased the R300 (since it uses the same ink as the 200 and 220). The R300 printed photos and color pages beautifully but everytime I wanted to print on a CD, it wouldn't do it. There turned out to be a work around, setting it up manually to print but then I didn't have the option of adjusting the inner diameter and it would print all the cd, including the hole, which caused excess ink buildup and it eventually wouldn't print at all (I had it less than a year). So I purchased another R220 and am so happy to have it work the way it should! If you're printing more on cds than paper, don't waste your money on the R300 when the R220 is perfect.

  • Epson Stylus R220 Digital Photo Inkjet Printer

I am very happy with the Epson Stylus R220 Digital Photo Inkjet Printer, it is just the printer that I have been looking for. This printer is giving me really good quality prints

  • Good product and fast delivery

I knew this printer was slower than the newer one but it just prints. I don't need the fax and scanner and the new one takes up too much room and is always reminding about updates. The ink runs out faster too. has six ink cartridges for a much better quality picture. This Epson I have now is an older model but I like it just fine. Sometimes newer is not better.

  • Versatile and High Quality

This is a workhorse and my fourth purchase since 2006. Genuine Epson Ink is great for fade-resistant photos. Re-manufactured ink is really cheap for general office printing. Repeat buyers of the R220 know most inkjets have built-in counters that eventually stop the printer with an "end of service life" message. This is in regard to the waste ink pads that line the bottom of the printer (one quart capacity). The message is not triggered by a sensor, but by this counter. Repeat buyers also know to leave the printer powered up 24/7 to reduce automatic priming and cleaning. This warning message is not an issue if you already have the "EpsonIPRUtility_A10" reset utility once available from the Epson website. This resets the counter (for me about every eight months). However, if you do not have this utility, a web search may prove it hard to find. The current 2016 version of the Epson reset utility "epson17555" is different and can only be used once to allow printing for a short period of time.

  • Epson R320 produces great prints.

Excellent photos used with Photoshop and the "printer manages colors". Works with Mac OS 10.12.6 if you download latest printer software. We have three of these. When they wear out we get a new one just like it. USB connection, no wireless.

  • Easy to set up and use for my endless Photoshop printouts.

It's the best printer for my photoshop photos - I liked it 15 years ago when I bought my first one And IT's the only one I can use. Thankfully, I can still find some new ones. It's easy to set up and use; I have the refillable ink set up with it so I never have to manually refill the ink slots.

  • Quality DVD disc printer

I had this printer before and it died. I replaced it with a Canon product which didn't come with disc printing software and it drank ink like beer. It lasted four and a half years and died. The previous Epson lasted about 15 years. So, when I was able to get a good deal on Ebay I went with the Epson. A quality product for anyone doing hobby disc production
