good as a gun sight, not so much for video projects.
it is an interesting night vision camera that lacks two important features. First, it is only compatible with NTSC, North American video and electrical cycles. When using it in the UK or Europe for instance, the image has rolling bars due to the lights in the cities are on 50hz, not 60hz like in the US. More importantly, there is no video out, so the only way to view what is being shot is through the small eyepiece. If you plan to use this purely as a rifle scope then there should be no issue. I hoped to use it as a night vision camera to integrate with video and film projects so I can't give it a full recommendation.

Incredible night vision
I’ve had many nightshot and IR digital night vision camcorders over the years, but none compare to the SiOnyx pro. It’s absolutely amazing. It’s well made, compact and easy to use. The night vision is stunning on a moonlight night and if one is out in the woods or it’s overcast, or just indoors with no lights off, fitting a small IR light is more than enough to see everything like it is daylight. Never used anything like it before. An excellent bit of kit. It’s also easy to connect to my phone and remote view and operate the camera. Stunning
