Great price, durability, and feel/response, plus a bonus learning curve!
An excellent quality item that's super easy to fit. I agree with other reviews that it feels a little different to a classic analogue but that's not surprising. I'm still testing it with various games and so far the results have been great. When I first tried it with Goldeneye, I felt it didn't respond brilliantly to very tight movements of the gun sight, but having played for a few hours with it, I got a lot better and I think over time you would get used to it. Shadows Of The Empire played amazingly with it right off the bat, as did Beetle Adventure Racing and Resident Evil 2! If anything, the learning curve actually makes you approach a game you know inside out a little differently which is really fun. Game Cube style N64 Joystick
As good as it looks and as nice and well made as it is, it doesn’t quite function the way you would hope it would. It works don’t get me wrong, but it has a very sensitive room of travel on the stick. It works well for games that don’t really require precise movements, like racing games where you’re essentially going left or right, but for Mario or Zelda it lacks the precise response needed for tricky 3D games. All in all it’s a well made, good quality and well priced item. It just won’t fulfil everyone’s desires when it comes to responsiveness and accuracy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to fit, authentic feel
I was worried replacing the control stick with something other than the original style would ruin the retro feel but after the ease of fitting this replacement I was pleasantly surprised with how authentic it feels to use. Plug n' play
Seems pretty well put together, fitted well, plugged straight in and works perfectly. Doesn't seem to have quite the same precision as an original style stick, but that's the stick design rather than any comment on the quality! I wanted to like it.
In theory this product is excellent. An n64 with the brilliant gamecube stick. Upon a simple installation, it looked and felt superb, nice and comfortable. Despite these pros however during gaming it just didn't feel right. The stick was bought in order to play Goldeneye 64, which during play with this product, was oversensitive and made long range sniping pretty tricky. Perhaps with other genres of game this will work a treat, unfortunately I just didn't get on with this product for fps. A pity since it looks and feels wonderful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

N64 replacement analog stick button
Very pleased with the replacement unit. Much better quality than the original one. Would recommend this to anyone wishing to replace a worn out one. Also this one is just like the gamecube style one. Being shorter is easier to control aswell. Also the gamecube style one comes with a manufacture 2 year warranty.

A Great Replacement for the Nintendo 64 Controller
A brilliant joystick that was easy to fit and works very well. The joystick I replaced with this one had completely gone, and I chose the GameCube style as I heard it was more durable than the original, which definitely seems to be the case. An improvement over the original design
After replacing the joystick in my N64 controller from the original style to this GameCube style has made playing games easier. The longer original didn't seem to be as accurate as the newer style. I had updated the original design with another firmer stick before trying the GameCube style. Garbage
