a worthwhile upgrade
I read some people saying these speakers were not much improvement, but in our T6 they have made a huge difference. The original 6" VW speakers didn't do justice to the stock head unit, which is actually quite reasonable. I compose music in my studio for a living so I'm pretty aware of sound quality. It's probably the first upgrade you should do before changing head units etc, the larger diameter speakers definitely add clarity. I don't really see the point in trying to go audiophile in a camper van like ours with so much extraneous noise all around, and the fact that the low positioning of the speakers in the door will never be ideal. I had some extra insulation sheets that I managed to get on the door skin which has also probably helped. I used self tapping screws in new holes to fit the new speakers as the old holes were pretty big.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Would rate these a 5 but they don't seem to work in really cold weather. I've read online it's something to do with the speaker material going hard in low temperatures.
