Recovering alcoholic and ex-con Link (Gibson) lives a peaceful existence as a tattoo artist whose home is a Californian trailer park. He's disturbed, however, by the arrival of his 16-year-old daughter Lydia (Erin Moriaty) who flees to her estranged father to escape the Mexican drug dealers who want her dead. After taking out their revenge on her boyfriend Jonah (Diego Luna), the cartel come calling for Lydia so she goes on the run with her father who has no choice but to fight off the dangerous criminals.
