Such a shame
Failed to live up to expectations. An interesting idea for a concept was let down badly by a pretty poor script and some very wooden acting. Could be ok to entertain the kids on a wet day but don’t bother if you want to immerse yourself into a new world

Entertaining film, looks good, insults the awesome books.
Not bad as a film, entertainment-wise - it looks good and there's plenty of action. Too much back story simply not explained, though. Anyone who has read the books will be bitterly disappointed, though, as this film utterly misses the point of the whole story and messes with it way too much. It's OK if you think of it as a completely unrelated tale.
