Product Information

Steve Miner's comedy-horror is set on the picturesque Black Lake in Maine (the film's title is a non-sequitur). When a beaver-tagger is munched up by a mystery beast, one of cinema's most disparate group of heroes gather to investigate. Fish warden Jack Wells, city-girl and palaeontologist Kelly Scott and redneck Sheriff Hank Keough are joined by eccentric millionaire Hector Cyr, who has his own reasons for joining the hunt. But when they discover what's lurking in the lake's depths, they must all fight for their lives. Also starring Golden Girl Betty White as Mrs Bickerman, a deliciously foul-mouthed widow who lives on the lake's shore and knows its secrets.

Classic film with a big bite!
Love this film. After so many years since I originally watched it-it still stands the test of time…. Even if most of the main actors are now teaching retirement. This version is great picture and sound quality and has some additional extras which I don’t think are on the European versions out there. It’s unlikely that this will ever get a 4K release so why not indulge the Blu-ray version and enjoy a little bit of classic movie schlock horror.
