When Roger Cobb's aunt dies he visits her house where his son was last seen before his dissapearance. Evil forces conspire against Roger in an attempt to prevent him being reunited with his son. Roger Cobb is a Vietnam veteran whose career as a horror writer takes a turn for the worse when his son Jimmy disappears while visiting his aunt's house. Roger's search for Jimmy becomes obsessive, destroying his marriage and his writing career. Roger finds himself back at his aunt's house after her sudden death and this is where his nightmares begin.
