Atomic Beam Flashlight - as good as claimed?
The flashlight is only about 5-1/2" long and takes 3 AAA batteries, but throws more light than an ordinary one taking 5 D batteries. I can walk into my garage, close the door so it's pitch black, push the button to turn on the light, and get a huge perfect circle of light that allows me to see the entire garage without any further movement of the flashlight. That perfect circle can be easily focused down to an intense small, tight beam that can throw light on something a good distance away. Press the button twice quickly and the strobe comes on. They claim the strobe could be a self-defense tool, disorienting the attacker. I figured this was just a TV claim, but when I got the lights (ordered 2, 1 for the house and 1 for the car) and turned the strobe on myself, I was blinded and disoriented immediately. They tell you not to look directly into the light as it could cause eye damage, and there's no doubt that could happen. Push the button quickly 3 times and the SOS pattern comes on, which could be a lifesaver in certain situations. The flashlight housing is quality anodized aluminum. You really need to get at least one; you won't believe how good this really is, and you can get one on ebay quite inexpensively. Great bright/light, Hard to Re-assemble
The power is long on brightness and distance. The only drawback is changing the batteries, after 4 or 5 iterations it usually works. My sister bought one also and she has had the same dilemma, luckily she didn't throw it out when it wouldn't work after changing batteries. Best Flashlight Out There!!
Had no issues with it, dropped it a couple of times down the stairs, concrete in our patio, even ran over it with our car and it didn't even break or stop working. Just turned on and it was bright as it can be. There is the skeptics who will say "is it really bright and strong". It depends on also the battery that you use and how long you use it for. Rechargeable batteries work perfectly and they even have batteries that are 3.7v that I personally prefer and they do enhance the brightness no doubt about that. As far as lightweight, it is. I have brought 7 for each of the family members especially my for my nieces and sisters whenever they travel at night since some areas may require a good lighting and they are so happy with it. Each of the modes work depending on the presses of button sequences. Everything in the description when I brought it, I tested it because I was a true skeptic about the flashlight since we go through a bunch and they keep on breaking or don't work after a month or so. Best LED Flashlight on the Market
This is the finest small flashlight I have ever owned..!! Very wide angle coverage at one extreme. No hot spot like the traditional old bulb type flashlights of years past. Great Flashlight
This is a great Flashlight. Extremely Bright. Beam can be focused or spread out to spotlight. Best part is you can use regular 3 AAA BATTERIES or choose to purchase the Rechargable Lithium battery. I like it so much I now have 3. One in my car, my wife's car and for the house. Best Flashlight I've owned.

Great Beam Of Light
I had purchased this originally for my Father-in-law who lives in a very rural area of CT, but used it when I came over and walked the dog at night. It is normally pitch black outside with no street lights etc. The flashlight lit up the entire area and made it easier to see where I was going. It also was adjustable so I could have a concentrated beam to see in the distance and a wide beam to see everything in a 20 ft radius. Buy this with no regrets!
