I love this press and find it easy to use. You do have to watch the back of your hands, as you are moving the clothing around in the press, or you could get a quick burn from the top. On the other hand, when you have caught your hand once, you won't do it again. It is making my life somewhat easier, and it's good that I can sit down to use it. Love it ! Just as good as a Fastpress and half the price.
Had a Fastpress for 20 yrs but it died last week. I was a bit dubious about buying this Speedypress as it is half the price. But all doubts gone tried it yesterday and it is just as good as the Fastpress and much lighter also has a steam option! The thing I hate most in the world is painting and decorating. The thing I hate second most in the world is ironing shirts. I would rather buy a new shirt than iron one so when I ended up with a pile of newly washed shirts that needed ironing I got half way through them and thought there must be a better way. Thanks to a quick search on Ebay I've found a better way. My new steam press is quick and simple to use, has the feel of a quality product and after a rapid look through the instructions I don't think I'll ever use a conventional iron/ironing board again. It's not huge, it can be used on a coffee table or sideboard/kitchen table and the expense is justified for me by the amount of time I'll save. Niggles? Not really. makes ironing less of a chore
takes a little while to heat up but not a lot more than an iron. great for ironing sheets and duvet covers. takes a little longer to get used to items like shirts etc. cuts down ironing time and ive used it more than my iron as takes less time to do each item.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
