High Quality Second Hand Deal, a good value.
I purchased this to replace my Sony Tablet S from way back in 2011 which works great, but is really slow. I am very pleased with the Xperia Z2. Most of the features I like from the S are still present. I purchase this tablet because I have had good luck with the S and I like the following unique features: programmable remotes for TVs and peripherals, can be used as a media sever, resolution and aspect ratio are great for watching movies, water resistant and magnetic charging dock is available at a reasonable price. Some people do not like the large bezel around the screen, but it is great for those of us with big hands. The speakers are placed for using the Tablet in landscape mode, which I prefer. The power button and volume rocker are well placed to be easy to find and use. The micro SD card port and micro USB charging port are hidden behind doors which are a pain to open, but are a must to keep the tablet water tight. Camera is great, for a tablet, and has some unique features. One thing I really like is Sony doesn't assault you with preloaded bloatware. I purchased this tablet refurbished and it is set to use Verizon if I decide Wi-Fi isn't enough. The tablet is used and has some minor signs of use, including a few scratches on the screen and comes with a high quality aftermarket charger. The reseller did a great job making sure the tablet is ready for a new owner. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good quality used product. Not as described
Good tablet for the money, just have to buy the non Verizon version like I did not. It was non upgradable unless I had Verizon service on a nano sim 2 yr activation. The tablet had tons of bloat, unnecessary apps, and the back casing was very prone to finger prints and oils. I couldn't unlock it either barely any service out there dealing with Verizon gsm unlocking. I even put an att nano sim in, and there was not a dial pad to enter an unlock code. It was like it didn't even acknowledge the sim thus activating the code key! I got no where, I returned and bought the international z4 tablet version, and now I'm satisfied with this version!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

My first tablet
I have been using my new Sony tablet for about a week now, I am very impressed with the battery life. I have stayed on the net for 4 to 5 hours continuously, and not drained the battery dry. This is marvelous when on other devices I sometimes had to recharge 2 and 3 times in one day. The large ten inch screen is a nice size for watching TV and movies which I have done. It has a slot for a micro SD card so you can expand the storage capacity of the device. Some stuff I don't want to trust to the cloud. I only use my tablet with WiFi as I don' have Version,but I am O.K. with that. The only thing I would recommend is to get a cover, or carry case as the tablet is large, and for me so sleek I dropped the tablet several times when I first started to use it. I love this tablet
I bought this for ps4 remote play, universal learning remote capabitities, being waterproof and being very reasonably priced. So far this thing has exceeded my expectations in every way! The battery life is twice as long as any other tablet I own. I think the screen resolution is fine and when viewing movies I think it looks even better and color reproduction seems very accurate. This tablet easily pairs with a dualshock 4 and a pair of bluetooth headphones and works flawlessly for remote play or other apps. Not too shabby.
I bought mine "user refurbished" for about $180, and I couldn't be more happy with it. It's light weight, but it doesn't look or feel cheap. The screen is nice, and I can easily stream video and listen to music all day without worrying about charging it. Let's also not forget about it's speed... I witness no lag time between tasks. At all. It performs so smooth, and now that you can upgrade it to lollipop, you really have no reason to say no. The only down side, and I mean THE only downside, is that you have to be on the Verizon network to upgrade it. So, you would have buy a "pay as you go" sim card, and then install lollipop. Honestly though, I've just been running kitkat 4.4.4- and I get by with no issues. Overall, this tablet is probably the best bang for the buck. Plus, if you play video games on the PlayStation network, this thing is awesome! You can sync it with your PS3 or PS4 and play games from it's hard drive, anywhere you are, as long as both devices have a strong Internet connection. What a tool!
This is the first tablet I've owned, though I've spent time with others. When shopping for one I was reminded of why I'm a die hard Android fan and will never be an iPhone/iPad supporter. This was primarily purchased for using at work, out at job sites, doing things that couldn't do on a phone, plus the bigger screen is really a plus when looking at construction plans. Being water proof was a big selling factor as sometimes I'm out in the rain. Screen is precise and looks awesome, and there are fun features that don't seem to be on many other non-Sony devices. Connecting options to TV and other devices and an IR transmitter (can't tell you how fun it is to go to a bar like environment when everyone is focused on some game on the TVs, and you quietly sit in the corner and start changing the channels!). Battery life seems really good. This is a replacement as the one I bought new dropped at a weird angle and broke the screen and plastic corner. The battery seems not quite what the new one was, but they are not all "the same". Lastly, I'd really really like a hard case with a BT keyboard combo. The iPuds have them available in a sturdy aluminum but i haven't found one for the Z2. There is a hard plastic case keyboard combo, but I went through three of them in no time as the hinge springs are too strong and the hinges quickly break away from the case.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great tablet other than "sleep of death"
This tablet has a great screen, great sound, nice battery life, looks very nice, and is really thin. However, two of the three times that I've let the battery drain fully, it has refused to charge or power on again. I had to search for quite some time to find a fix. (I left it for a day to ensure there was no charge left, held down the power button, and plugged it into a wall charger, and it finally came back to life.)Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
