Can't be beat for the price!!!!
I own 8 weaponlight systems and for the price this combination can not be beaten!!! It includes everything needed to attach it to pretty much any weapon system. Whether it is a shotgun, rifle, SBR, SBS, or hunting rifle it comes with a way to install already included. Brands like Surefire will cost almost 3 to 4 times as much in order to get all the different mounting options that this kit comes with. It is currently attached to an AR-15 with the tape switch. There are two issues with these lights. 1. If installed with the tape switch at the 3 or 6 o'clock positions the press on/off button will be activated anytime it touches anything, not a big deal for me, but it does happen. 2. The more bothersome issue is that if it is used with the tailcap switch everytime you shoot, the recoil of the weapon with activate the light slightly almost like a single strobe will be emitted out of the light. If light discipline is a concern then the user should be mindful of these problems, I recommend a lens cover in order to make this issues null and void. It's OK
I'm not sure why this light is so expensive. It works well, seems to be well made and is bright, but light out to 325 yards, as it claims on the package, is a stretch. I haven't measured how far it is exactly, maybe 200 yards tops. LED technology has advanced and prices should be dropping on these products.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good light, pros and cons
Pros: - Price, compared to Surefire brand, it's far more affordable (I have a surefire on a pistol) - Light output is GREAT. 25-50 yards easily lit up, past that, it is good, but I wouldn't take a shot (at a coyote) further than that anyway. - Mount is great, toggle switch and pressure pad have good options. - Good mode options, strobe, etc. Cons - Doesn't FEEL as durable as my Surefire, pretty sure most of the housing is plastic. Not planning to torture test it, as I have no need for that, but it's really my only primary issue - Size. It's somewhat long, mounted it with MagPul's cantilever mount to help it move forward out of the way a little, and that helps. But really, to get great light output you have to sacrifice size, so this doesn't bug me too much.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mounts nice and solid. Very sturdily made. I've used a ton of weapon mounted lights and this one is by far the best value out there. Wow!!
I replaced two of the "high-priced spread" lights on my edc rifles with two of these and it's difficult to comprehend how Streamlight could put EVERYTHING needed for installation of these lights into a package at this price. Great value and a really tough light. These are definitely a game- changer for weapon-mounted lights. The choice of sequencing the order of low- high-strobe is easy to program and the beam is focused just right for my application. Great flashlight
Has an excellent Beam. Strobe is powerful enough to send you into convulsions. Wasn't too impressed with the separate switch. A good idea but wire is unsightly and never really found a good location for it. It comes with a battery and good mount for my AR15.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Such a great value!!
This light is awesome and such a great value. I've changed all of my rifles over to this light paired with the Cloud Defensive LCS. I actually sold one of my Surefire Scout lights to fund two Streamlights. In my experience, I have never had a Streamlight fail. They are very durable. I prefer the Rail Mount 2 over the brighter HLX because of the hot spot. The HLX has a very bright and focused hot spot but not very much spill beyond the hot spot. So your peripheral night vision suffers. The Rail Mount 2 has a hot spot that is not as defined and it blends into the spill giving you a much wider field of view in the complete dark.

Must Have for a Home Defense Weapon
This light is well made and super bright. I mounted this light on a carbine length AR 15 quadrail using a Magpul flashlight mount. The wire is easily held in place by Magpul XTM rail panels. The pressure switch easily mounted firmly to my top rail with the included clips. Mine came programed for the high/stobe mode which is perfect for me, so there was no need for reprograming. If I were professional law enforcement or military I would have invested in a Surefire.
