The cult television series that inspired THE X-FILES, KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER was not nearly as successful as that later show yet still maintains an influence. The show, which ran in 1972, follows the creepy adventures of Carl Kolchak, a scruffy, cynical reporter played by Darren McGavin. When Kolchak finds that the murderer responsible for a series of bloody murders plaguing his home city of Las Vegas is a member of the undead, a vampire out for food, he undertakes a quest to defeat the bloodsucking fiend. Theres 20 episodes, l,d say about 3 of them wad good . This is only season made ,the last disc best episodes (who knows season 2 may have been good),the llead character is a reporter who fumbles his way solving bizarre murders (supernatural overtones), l found the lead irritating l dont no if why l daint take to series.some people have reviewed said it cult TV .so maybe just not for me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
