Chances are it's answered in this comprehensive guide by Australian Tony Attwood. Attwood also manages to be enormously respectful to people with AS -- something that can't be said for all such guides. • One sided portrayal

The Atwood book is just the usual one-sided portrayal of Asperger's as a disability. While it gives an occasional nod to some of the gifts it may bestow, it trivializes and marginalized those gifts. Even the treatment options it describes are primarily merely doing battle with a disability rather than helping a person be all they can be and to fulfill their hopes & dreams.
