I purchased this loco some time ago as a used item and it has always been stored. A decoder has been hard wired into the locomotive set to address number 3. A blanking plug is included if the new owner prefers to run the loco on DC. Tested prior to advertising on eBay - it runs smoothly in both directions. The locomotive and tender have been factory weathered by Hornby which really does show the locomotive in more realistic workaday condition. The locomotive and tender are in super condition however both front steps have been reattached and the speedo cable removed by the previous owner. Please see photographs. A superb locomotive now looking for a new home where it can be fully appreciated.

Nicely detailed model with the upto date smooth running motor
It was bought second hand but is the usual good quality up to date version of this popular Hornby locomotive. There has always been a problem with the connection between the engine and tender with the extra wiring between the two as sometimes the wire comes adrift or snaps rendering the model from working. This apart it's good smooth runner
