For me, the River Cottage series is perfect feel-good TV and in this jolly away from his HQ, inquisitive Hugh gets it just right again. As this culinary tour of the UK unfolds, Hugh's enthusiasm and his ever-present competitive edge are infectious to watch. I saw his Road Trip first time around on TV but like anything from the River Cottage team, I can just watch them over and over again.
As a fan of River Cottage the series' I couldn't wait to see this dvd, although it was a good watch i admit its not as good as the river cottage series'. I'm not knocking it though its great for a afternoon in front of the telly, and its nice to see Hugh away from River Cottage and doing something slightly different.
