Substantially reduces effort required
A fine machine which after careful assembly - it is heavy and two people make the task easier - performed smoothly and powerfully. Logs up to the specified dimensions were easily split while larger diameter but shorter logs could be split int halves easily and then into quarters or less. The long throw can be adjusted to suit the length of log and if short then it can be left fully extended and two logs - one behind the other - can be split in one pass.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

So fat I think it is a good piece of kit and should be very useful in the future. The stand inproves the ease of use cnsiderably
Delivery very prompt and the delivery guy was e trembly helpful. It took me some time to work out the best way to connect the stand as the instructions were not comprehensive. Eventually I found a YouTube video which simplified the whole process. I’ve been using a large splitter for a while and it’s hard work and sometimes a bit dangerous. I picked this because it came with a stand and seemed like it would be easy to pull in and out of the outhouse. The instructions weren’t too clear but it’s a fairly easy thing to work out how to mount the splitter on the frame. It would probably be easier with two people but I managed. Stop look and buy this one
This log splitter will NOT disappoint, it seems to be able to handle anything I place on it! I have put 40 cm diameter long pieces of knotted wood on it and it just works time after time, from friends looking at me use the machine so far 2 have already bought one themselves.
