Building new shelves and units in our living room we found to our horror didn't fit on our new roller TV unit it look incredibly awful. Thus having forked out for the whole room refit and making it show homey and quite nice may I say the room was rendered useless? It had no TV and this at a vital football watching time of the year. Liver pool and the champions league and all that! Therefore we had to do a bit of dipping into our savings I mean, to buy a new TV and of course it had to go with the room. So it would look best black, a rarity in TVs these days plus it had to be HD ready and my one in put big of screen size. The search began ebuyer, curries tesco even Matalan had TV’s but not what we wanted in price and style and make (such snobbery, not me my missus). I spent hours searching the interweb looking for TV's using Ciao, Kelkoo Price runner to no avail. Then I tripped across a not so well know site, how I got to it I don’t know but the site digitaldirect.co.uk seemed worth the Sherlock Holmes treatment. And it was £20 delivery for UK main land yea! And £855.01 for a black Sony TV Bobs your uncle, I order it on line and it was setup and working 3 days later. The TV is a thin slender and very light compared to the stogy brick we moved out, I had not bought a TV for years having had no need but my how things have changed. The spec list and techy gumf for this TV is out of this world so I'll start. The TV SONY.KDL-40S2530U 40" HD Ready IDTV Twin HDMI. The screen size is a diagonal 40" with wait for it 1366x768 pixels resolution, (I must admit its a darn fine picture). The TV also has 1080i resolution, 720p resolution and but I am yet to figure out what these are. I was luck to find the on button! I vaguely know what I have just mentioned but there is reams of features so I will just list them from now on. The picture is great and the TV is future proof being HD ready and with having freeview on board it is a slight cost saver as we abolished the cable connection. In all I am absolutely chuffed to bits with many things from price, style make specification but these new TVs do one thing they show up dodgy make up and wrinkles on pundits and celebs on TV you would never have seen. And the sound my this can knock the heads of flowersa and smash glasses, it is loud but krisp and if you have a surround you'll go deaf in a year. In all a great TVRead full review
The picture quality is outstanding even watching non HD programmes. i have it connected to an xbox 360 on HD setting and the difference in gaming quality is astronomical. The facility for HDMI connection to PC is another excellent feature and makes the s-video option somewhat obsolete. One criticism would be the somewhat sporadic operation of the remote control, you have to be directly in front of the sensor if you actually want it to respond. Apart from that i have only good things to say about the t.v. well worth it and the price i paid on ebay made it an even better choice. 8.5 out of 10. Cosmic_Jester_uk.
I bought the above T.v Because I had read the Witch Report, and it sounded Good No other Reason as their are so many Tvs out there, unless you get some independant advice, not just the man in the shop, as he wants to make a sale I dont belong to Whitch magazine. i found it when I was at the Dentist, It was good Value for the money and we are pleased with it Plus as a Bonus we got 5 years Guanratee.
the name brand, a bargain i think, quality balanced with price and its durability, good eye catching appearance, colour combination
