Cheap & Nasty - BUT my cat loves it!
This is the most awful quality tat I've ever purchased. Before I opened the box, I actually thought it was empty as the mat was so lightweight. If I'd seen this for sale in a pound shop, I doubt whether I would have bought it - let alone pay £6.95 for it!!! Having said this, my cat loves it! She's hardly moved off of the mat since I bought it. That is until it slides off the sofa when she jumps down - the non-slip backing definitely doesn't work. She gets very distressed if this happens at night, and there's no one around to pick it up for her, as she can't get nice and warm again, as it does reflect the heat really well. It also doesn't lie very flat. The 'foil' inside keeps moving, and I'm forever having to straighten it out. The mat does make quite a loud rustling noise, which may bother some cats, but this hasn't been an issue, as mine has always loved sitting on carrier bags (???). I haven't washed the cover yet, but I doubt it will last long, as it's so flimsy. Also I'm sure the reflective piece of 'foil' inside will break down quite quickly, as there's just nothing to it. I'm going to buy a better quality all in one self heating mat - no removable cover - and this one will be consigned to her basket. It just looks so awful on the sofa. Lovely pad but a little noisy

This is perfect, good quality, arrived quick, My cat loves it went straight on there and she never does that. It keeps her warm as it says and it washes up very good so good I bought another one so if washing one she can have the other one. I can say she loves it. Not as pictured
This item is smaller than it looks on the picture - I admit I didn’t take note of any measurements if stated but I went off the size of the dog on the picture and assumed it would be suitable for my dog - it was not hence not as pictured - it also felt like paper underneath. I bought the self heating pad for my sponsor cat who is 10 and suffers from arthritis. She has to be kept warm in the cooler months and I thought this product would be perfect for her. As it was given to her very recently I can't comment as to it's efficacy. It looked good, felt very soft and comfortable and the outer shell can be unzipped to remove the insulated inner pad before washing the shell. Crackly fabric!!!
As soon as I put this down for my cat and lifted her on it she God straight off. I left it down for a few days but she wouldn't get on it. I even tried putting it in one of her sleeping beds but even this didn't work.
