The Zinc based paint was advertised as 96% zinc when dry. The zinc content was evident when you lift the 2KG tin as it is only about 750mls. It spreads on easily after a thorough stirring. The instructions suggest a mechanical stirrer which I would say is a must as it would be a day long task stirring with a wooden stick. I was expecting a finish something like hot dipped galanized metal but it looks like the sky blue colour of the underneath of a WWII fighter aircraft. This wasn’t a problem as it will be over coated. How long it will keep the rust away is something I cannot say as it has only been on a week. Ask me in two years.
