LIGHTWEIGHT WITH GOOD CONSTRUCTION
I have been using these types of stoves as a back up for my gas powered stove for years. For the price and weight of these stoves you can't go wrong - I expect that's why the British army uses them. I however, have never used the gel fuel with these, only hexamine blocks so I couldn't comment on the burn time for gel fuel. Lightweight Cooking
This stove unlike so many of its contemporaries has that added windshield, which believe me makes the world of difference to how it performs, But I wanted to improve it even further, so I bought two and added a second windshield, and although it is not perfect. It by far the very best in its field. I have used it with fire-gel, meths and hexi-blocks, and have had good results from all three. It is light compact and appears to marry up with Trangias small billi pan almost perfectly. However, this is not a gas stove, and does not perform like one, it's slow and steady, which suits me fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
