Nearest to a 100w incandescent that I've found.
Over the years I've tried many energy efficient bulbs to replace my old favourite the 100w incandescent. I have a drawer full of bulbs that promised to give a warm bright light comparable to the incandescent but they always disappointed. Some made my sitting room feel like a mortuary! Greenish cold light. This bulb is the first one to give a light that comes anywhere close to that much loved warm, bright light. It's still a bit on the cool side but the best so far. I looked at lots of brands, some said anywhere between 11 and 13 lumens would be equivalent to 100w but I've heard that before! This 18w fits the bill and for the first time I shall keep it in my lamp and buy more as other old bulbs fizzle out.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best bright LED bulb.
I've tried lots of different light bulbs in the central light fitting over our dining table. This is by far the best. Full brightness is obtained immediately at switch on, the warm white colour of the light from the lamp is exactly what's needed (very similar to the light from an incandescent bulb) and the brightness is excellent. NOT BRIGHT AT ALL!!
I expected the bulb to be super bright and everyone kept commenting how bright it is, but its very dim, almost candle light. If you are searching for a bright bulb because 100W Hallogen is not bright enough for you, then this bulb is even less bright than a hallogen one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
