An excellent model kit of the G6, though perhaps fiddly for an inexperienced modeller. A much cheaper alternative to the Tamiya kit which I have not bought as the Zveda version is so very good.
The kit includes a very detail DB engine, wheel wells and various Rustatz options e.g. underwing guns, drop tanks and bomb carrier as well as a nicely detailed pilot figure. There is also a 'tall tail' and Erla canopy for the later G6/G14 types.
There have been numerous plastic model kits of the Messerschmitt 109G6 over the years but somehow for me this one just captures the look of this aircraft, especially around the nose, prop, and spinner. The detail is also impressive so that various panels can be shown 'open for maintenance'. A worthy competitor for the recently re-tooled kit from Eduard.
It's a Zvezda 48th scale aircraft kit, admittedly some of the earlier ones suffered fogged clear sprues. Don't honestly remember whether this is one of them. (It's bought and in the stash.)
All of Zvezda's 48th scale range are loved by me.
Buy one and find out why.
