  • The book is very helpful!

I bought this book for my son who is almost 13. I am a single mom and I have explained to him what I could about the birds and the bees and boys liking girls. I didn't really feel that I could explain to him the changes his body will go through nor did I really want to. I wanted to save both of us the embarrassment. I know about wet dreams and blue balls, but my son gets flushed and nervous when I approached these topics. A friend recommended this book as she bought one for her 13 year old son. My son was embarrassed at first, but I can tell that he is learning from it. When I walk by and he's reading he really looks engrossed. she book also has pictures that helps to explain what the author is saying. The only thing is that she (author) talks alot about her experiences with teaching and tells lotsof stories that bore my son. I think if it just read like a science or health textbook my son would like it even more.

  • Bought for my 10 yr old son

Covers a wide variety of subjects. The author does a good job injecting humor in areas. She even has a list of "slang" terms, that I'm sure will get a chuckle.

  • For much older teens

I bought this book for my 12 year old. It had way more information and pictures than he needs to see. He is mature but I let him read 1 topic. It is a good value but the book is for a older kid.
