Working Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 CPU
Had an old Compaq system with E6300 chip mainly used for email and surfing internet, which was getting slow. Cleaned out the internal rubbish and it worked so so. Found this chip on ebay and at price if it did not work nothing lost. On arrival put it into motherboard and although just a difference of 800 Mhz or so between the original chip and this one, the machine is noticeably quicker. Maybe the extra onboard cache also helps. Pleasantly surprised and given an old pc a wee bit of extra life. It was probably just as well it worked as I dont think the original cpu will work as after I took it out, I knocked it off the edge of the worktable onto the floor ha ha!
