Tried this in my 4.6 v8 to overcome the loud ticking it had developed before going to a garage for help. Followed the instructions on the bottle, I ran the car for 3 weeks covering 350 miles with very little sign of the problem going. (There was a slight improvement ) So it could work but didn't for me. Try Changing the oil for a thicker more viscous oil this worked for me.

It does quieten down the lifters, make sure you know if your engine has hydraulic lifters or it won't do anything. Also if your lifters are severely worn out then it won't cure it, this only works if you have slight tapping/ticking.
