Easy to understand and use, but pretty comprehensive too.
I can't recommend this book highly enough, I was very unsure on many aspects of entering into any gauge of modelling, but especially N gauge, this book is very informative and helpful, and just the right level for a newcomer as well as a reference for a more advanced modeller. Its the only modelling book I have bought that I couldn't put down! Best money I have spent on a book in ages, including E books.

Layouts not very practical
Nicely presented book, but the layouts are way too ambitious for most people. Like most people I have limited space and want a layout of no more that 5' x 3', thats a good size for N gauge. But you won't find many practical layout of this size in the book. Overall Im dissapointec
