The music on this album is in the trademark 'HEAD, no nonsense hard rocking blues based rock ́n ́roll style with a metal edge, so no surprises there. The inclusion of Mikkey to the ranks gives the band a new dimension. His playing provides a harder edge to the band's sound. Track 2 is probably the best example of that but track 3 and 8 are also pretty hard edged and heavy. The standard of all these tracks are quite high but not all them stand out equally much. In this case the less remarkable tracks are still pretty great though, so songwriting wise, this release is definitely one of the band's stronger albums. Standout tracks cover track 1, 2, 3 and 8. The power ballad on track 6 with some distressing words about inbreeding and an unusually emotional sounding Lemmy singing the song, and of course the band classic on track 5 with its infectious chorus and boogie rhythm. The verse on track 11 features a strong Hawkwind influence and it's quite appealing. The sound production is powerful and professional. It's one of the more polished sounding from this band, yet it suits the music well. This release is of a great quality. It's one of the most astonishing and accessible releases in the band's discography.Read full review

25 years went since this CD was released; like it way yesterday! Such a great songs and IMO the best song on this album is Lost in the Ozone. Read this beautiful lyrics, and hear the great bass solo! I am a drifter on a hungry empty sea There is no one on earth to rescue me The winter storms they freeze me Summer burned alive I can't remember when another soul passed by Marooned and stranded, on the Islands of the Damned There is no one on earth to take my hand There is no voice to speak, no soul for company The sun goes down like blood into the Western Sea Alone and dying, and a thousand miles from home I know I never was so broken and alone I searched the sky for God, shivered to the bone Drowned in sorrow, Lost in the Ozone No hand for me, abandon me Wash over me, watch over me, drowned forever Alone and crying, and a thousand miles astray Alone upon the cruel sea, forsworn and cast away I turned my face to god, but his face was turned away Lost in the Ozone, nothing left to say Lost in the Ozone, nothing left to say Nothing left to say, nothing left to say Wash over me Lemmy, R.I.P.Read full review
